When we understand that anger and joy are both transient states, and that neither of them is permanent or substantial, we can free ourselves from the cycle of karma, or cause and effect. By letting go of our attachment to these emotions, we can break the cycle of suffering that arises from our desire to cling to them. We can become more mindful and aware of our own emotions and reactions, and be less likely to act out of anger or joy. We can also become more compassionate and understanding towards ourselves and others, as we recognize that everyone experiences these emotions. By understanding the nature of anger and joy, and letting them go, we can free ourselves from the cycle of karma and live a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
