Editorial Policy

This policy explains how content on e-Buddhism is created and held to standard.

Sourcing

Every doctrinal claim is traced to a named, verifiable source — a specific sutta, verse, or recognised scholarly work. We do not assert teachings from memory or hearsay. Where a claim cannot be sourced, we don’t make it.

Honesty about difference

Buddhism is not one monolithic view. Where the major traditions differ — on rebirth, on the path, on devotion — we say so, and we attribute positions to the tradition that holds them rather than presenting one as “the” Buddhist view.

Wellbeing

On any topic touching anxiety, depression, grief or loss, we offer the teaching as reflection, not as medical or psychological advice, and we point readers toward real professional support. See the note that appears on those pages.

Corrections

If we publish an error, we correct it promptly and, where it’s material, note that the page was updated. Please report anything you believe is inaccurate via the contact page.
